The National Alliance of Women¡¯s Mission Society of the Korean Methodist Church (KMC) has organized a homeland visitation project for KMC overseas missionaries¡¯ children. It is the first time for KMC to organize such an event. The program began on June 23 and will continue until July 5. On June 26, 17 middle and high school students from 12 countries visited the Yanghwajin Foreign Missionaries Cemetery in Mapogu, Seoul (photo). On July 1 they will visit the Borderline Peace School in Cheorwon to ponder on the modern history of Korea; and they will enjoy a home-stay for one night and two days at KMC members¡¯ homes as well.

The KMC Women¡¯s Mission Society has been preparing for this project since 2012. They have been saving a part of their budget for an annual national meeting, and members¡¯ donations also have helped. The society plans to host the children of overseas missionaries every other year.
