The Love of God 하나님의 사랑(로마서 8장 39절)

Today's Verse

Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:39)

높음이나 깊음이나 다른 어떤 피조물이라도 우리를 우리 주 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 하나님의 사랑에서 끊을 수 없으리라 (롬8:39)

이 세상의 사랑은 어떠합니까? ‘우리 절대 헤어지지 말자, 사랑해~’의 약속을 몇 번이나 하고도, 우리의 상태(condition)에 따라 끊어지는 것이 세상의 사랑입니다. 하지만 하나님의 사랑은 조건 없는(unconditional), 그리고 결코 실패하지 않는(unfailing) 사랑입니다. 어차피 내가 죄인일 때 구원해 주신 분이십니다. 38절부터 보면, 그 사랑은 죽음도 생명도(neither death nor life) 천사도 악마도(neither angels nor demons), 현재나 미래나(neither the present nor the future) 어떤 권세도(nor any powers), 또 높음도 깊음도(neither height nor depth) 그 어떤 피조물도(nor anything else in all creation) 끊을 수 없습니다. 하나님의 끊어지지 않는 깊은 사랑에 대해 다시금 크게 감사하면서, 그 사랑을 확신하고 누리는 하루되기 원합니다.

Prayer

Thank You Lord that nothing and no one can change the fact that You love me just as I am. Let me always remember Your unfailing love. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
