Encourage One Another 서로 권면하라(히브리서 3장 13절)

Today's Verse

But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness. (Hebrews 3:13)

오직 오늘이라 일컫는 동안에 매일 피차 권면하여 너희 중에 누구든지 죄의 유혹으로 완고하게 되지 않도록 하라 (히 3:13)

믿는 자들에게도 유혹과 도전이 옵니다. 12절에 보면 너희 중에 누가 믿지 아니하는 악한 마음을 품고 살아 계신 하나님에게서 떨어질까 조심하라(See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God)고 되어 있습니다. 그리고 오늘이라 일컫는 동안 권면하는 삶을 살아야 합니다(as long as it is called Today). 그렇게 할 때 죄의 유혹에 넘어가지 않게 됩니다(so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness). 나도, 내 주위의 형제자매들도 다 서로의 권면(encouragement)이 필요한 존재들입니다. 매일 만나지는 못한다 할지라도, 전화, 이메일, 문자로 짧은 권면이라도 나눌 수 있습니다. 오늘 내가 권면해 줄, 또 내가 힘을 얻을 교제(fellowship)는 누구와 어떻게 할 수 있을지 생각해 보고 실천해 봅시다.

Prayer

O God, You have called us to be one in the family of Your church through Your Son Jesus Christ. Give us the grace to accept our differences and grow in love for one another. May we encourage more and more toward love and good deeds. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.
