Helpful Talk 선한 말(에베소서 4장 29절)

영어성경으로 깊고 새로운 묵상을 해 봅시다.

Today's Verse

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. (Ephesians 4:29)

무릇 더러운 말은 너희 입 밖에도 내지 말고 오직 덕을 세우는 데 소용되는 대로 선한 말을 하여 듣는 자들에게 은혜를 끼치게 하라 (엡4:29)

하루에도 우리 입으로 많은 말을 합니다. 내 말의 대부분이 덕을 세우는 은혜로운 말인지요, 부패한 말들(corrupt communication)인지요?

하나님께서 주신 귀한 입을 통하여 독사의 독이 나오게 할 것인지, 곤고한 자를 말로 도와줄 지, 오늘 나의 말을 통해 덕을 세우며 듣는 자들에게 은혜를 끼치는 선한 말(only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen)을 하도록 기도하며 힘씁시다. 구체적으로 누구에게 어떤 말을 할지 구체적인 계획을 세우고 기도할 때 더욱 분명한 적용과 실천을 경험하게 됩니다.

Prayer

God of wisdom, make me be sensitive to the chances that come to me to speak a loving word and to build others up. Please use my tongue to help someone in need. I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen.

to speak a loving word and to build others up 사랑의 말을 하고 다른 이를 세워줄
