‘오순절주의’ 신앙을 따르는 각국 오순절 교회가 ‘다음세대의 오순절 부흥’과 ‘전 세계와 한반도의 평화’를 소망하며 함께 기도로 힘을 모으기로 했다.
오순절세계협의회(PWF) 총재 윌리엄 윌슨 목사와 제26차 세계오순절대회(PWC) 대표대회장 이영훈 목사는 지난 14일 이 같은 내용이 담긴 ‘제26차 세계오순절대회 공동선언문’을 작성해 19일 발표했다.
이들은 공동선언문에서 “기후 재난 시대에 하나님께서 창조하신 환경을 보전하며, 모든 생명을 사랑하고 섬기는 청지기 사명을 감당하겠다”며 “성령 충만을 사모하며, 내 힘이 아닌 성령의 능력으로 세계 복음 전파 사역에 매진하겠다”고 선포했다.
또 “세계와 한반도의 평화를 위해 성령의 능력을 힘입어 기도하는 일에 앞장서겠다”며 “오순절 운동이 다음세대를 덮고 있는 부정적인 생각과 감정, 죄의 얼룩을 깨끗이 씻어내고, 성령의 기쁨을 맛볼 수 있도록, 마가 다락방에 임했던 오순절 성령의 역사가 이 세대뿐만 아니라 다음세대로 이어지도록 온 힘을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
PWF는 성령체험과 성령은사의 사용을 강조하는, 이른바 ‘오순절주의’ 신앙을 따르는 다양한 교파들의 연합이다. PWF에 속한 기독교인은 현재 전 세계 6억 5000만명에 달하는 것으로 알려져 있다.
PWF는 지난 12일부터 14일까지 서울 여의도순복음교회(이영훈 목사)에서 26번째 PWC를 개최했다. PWC는 3년마다 개최되며 ‘전 세계 오순절교회 올림픽’이라 불린다.

The Spirit birthed the Church 2000 years ago, He was at the center of the Azusa Street Revival and the Pyongyang Revival. The Holy Spirit is still at work in our midst. He is especially working through Pentecostal churches bringing revival daily.
2000년 전 교회를 탄생시키고 아주사 부흥과 평양 부흥의 중심에 계셨던 성령님은 지금도 우리 가운데 역사하고 계십니다. 특별히 오순절 교회들을 통하여 날마다 부흥을 일으키고 계십니다.
Holy Spirit, we acknowledge You. Holy Spirit, we welcome You.
Holy Spirit, we invite You. Holy Spirit, we rely on you.
We will follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit with absolute positivity and absolute gratitude.

We will preserve the environment that God has created during this era of climate disasters and fulfill the mission of being stewards, loving, and serving all things with life.
하나, 우리는 기후 재난 시대에 하나님께서 창조하신 환경을 보전하며, 모든 생명을 사랑하고 섬기는 청지기 사명을 감당하겠습니다.
We desire to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and devote ourselves to the spreading of the gospel to the world not by our own power by the Spirit’s power.
하나, 우리는 성령 충만을 사모하며, 내 힘이 아닌 성령의 능력으로 세계 복음 전파 사역에 매진하겠습니다.
We will with the Spirit’s power, lead the prayer for World Peace and Peace in the Korean Peninsula.

We will fulfill our mission of the Pentecostal Movement for it can cleanse the stains of sin; the negative thoughts and emotions that is covering our next generation so that they can taste the joy of the Holy Spirit.
하나, 우리는 오순절 운동이 다음 세대를 덮고 있는 부정적인 생각과 감정, 죄의 얼룩을 깨끗이 씻어내고, 성령의 기쁨을 맛볼 수 있도록 사명을 감당하겠습니다.
We will continue the Pentecostal Movement of the Holy Spirit that began in Mark’s upper room, not only for this generation but the next, with all our strength.
하나, 우리는 마가 다락방에 임했던 오순절 성령의 역사가 이 세대뿐만 아니라 다음 세대로 이어지도록 온 힘을 다하겠습니다.
